Remember looking into a kaleidoscope for the first time and having the sense of discovery and wonder of seeing a new world? Life can be lived that way through Dynamic Trauma Integration.
Western mental health started with the question, "What's wrong with you?" Trauma-informed mental health urges people to ask the question, "What happened to you?" The next step in the evolution of mental health is the question, "Who are you?"
Learning to work peacefully with the mind's nature to identify, categorize, and create bounds is crucial for deeper healing and integration. Freedom and peace know no bounds. Trauma creates bounds.
You must train in noticing what you are identifying with overall in your life and moment-to-moment (thoughts, emotions, social categories, personhood, problems, strengths, spirit, etc.). This is the gateway to freedom once you learn to exist beyond the identity. Identify and release. Identify and release. Over and over and over again throughout the day. Become familiar with letting go of identity, and you will discover inherent freedom and peace.
You will discover who you really are.
What you identify with and how you relate with identity will radically change your experience of living, so choose wisely.
